The concept of Red-Neck Knives was born one day while sitting in the shop after working on a knife for over a week and having to wait another two weeks to get paid for the knife.

As I was sitting at my desk thinking about the economic crisis and how I could offer my customers an even better bargain and still maintain a steady cash flow.

I looked over at my peg board that held some heat treated blade blanks for some neck knives that I have been wanting to make. I was thinking that I could grind those blanks and finish them up in no time.

My eyes then turned to some red G-10 that was on another bench and the wheels started to turn and then it hit me. Red-Neck Knives!!!!!!!!!

I could design a whole line of small knives that could perform many of the tasks that we encounter on a daily basis and they all will have red handles.

The more I thought about it, I began to realize that I should design some knives around something that I know.

And I know how to be Southern, I know how valuable it is to have a dependable knife to use everyday and I guess I have a little bit of redneck in me.

Red-Neck Knives will be a supplement to my regular line of Knives offering an even better value for those folks who have been hit hard by the harsh economic times that we are facing.
